GENERAL EMPLOYMENT

In accordance with the organization’s Mission and Objectives, is responsible for building positive relationships with COMTEX Customers, Vendors and Ohio Community. The COMTEX Customer Relations Specialist must respond promptly and resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively. This person will work closely with Shipping, Transportation and Production Departments as well as other COMTEX Customer Relations Specialist and members of the Management Team. This position will require a working knowledge of COMTEX operations, industry standards and linen distribution processes. COMTEX Customer Relations Specialist must be able to travel to customer sites on a consistent basis to; conduct linen awareness, perform audits and build and trust understanding with each customer. This person will be both a customer relations specialist and resource for customers that promotes growth, positive perception and recognition of COMTEX.

Under the supervision of the Lead Workers or Production Supervisor, this first level laundry worker is required to operate laundry equipment related to the finishing of flatwork, tumble-dried goods and uniforms.

Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering & Facilities, is responsible for maintaining, overhauling, repairing, and/or when required, installing all laundry equipment, building services, as well as the operation of all equipment in the mechanical rooms necessary to ensure a continuous operation of production. Exercises initiative to ensure all equipment performs at an optimum level.

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Director of Engineering & Facilities, performs cleaning of building structure, machinery, equipment, ductwork, pipes, disinfects contaminated surfaces, and changes all filters.

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Director of Engineering & Facilities, is responsible for maintaining, overhauling, repairing, and/or when required, installing all laundry equipment, building services, as well as the operation of all equipment in the mechanical rooms necessary to ensure a continuous operation of production. Exercises initiative to ensure all equipment performs at an optimum level.

Under the direction of the Production Manager, performs supervisory, organizational, and manual duties in the laundry, linen, housekeeping, shipping, O.R. preparation, O.R. pack room, sewing, and uniform areas.

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, repairs, manufactures and discards all linens and uniforms used by the hospitals. Duties are performed in the laundry, linen and housekeeping areas.

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Shipper counts, prepares, weighs, and loads linens on carts for shipment to Hospitals and maintains good customer liaison.

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, sorts soiled and re-washed linens into designated classifications.

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, operates washers and dryers, maintains chemical levels and performs routine wash tests to ensure optimum quality.

DRIVING EMPLOYMENT

To transport and deliver healthcare laundry textiles to customers by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area and adhering to COMTEX policies and procedures. The truck driver will be responsible for driving to and from designated locations, verifying loads to shipping papers, maintaining record of duty status according to state and federal regulations, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
